To Be Enjoyed By Children And Their Parents
THEATRE MOGADOR
25 September 2007
One of the most touching Walt Disney’s animated films, «The Lion King», was successfully staged. The idea belonged to Julie Taymor, a young energetic woman who adores the cartoon. She wrote a script for the stage, added some new songs by Elton John and melodies of South Africa, thought over the costumes and decorations. The performance really amazes: the lighting, music, effects, choreography, décor, costumes (more than 400 costumes and 200 masks!) really impress. Not for nothing had this musical performance won six Tony awards.
The plot of the story is known to every modern child. After the death of his father Simba, the lion cub, has to face many challenges and to overcome many difficulties in his struggle for life. Needless to say that the story has the happy ending.
Both children and adults will follow the events with the relentless interest!

Fairy Water
PARK DU CHATEAU DE VERSAILLES
28 September 2007
The Chateau de Versailles is splendid. One can’t imagine it can be more beautiful and attractive. But in fact it can. Till 30 September the gardens of Versailles are hosting the traditional «Grandes Eaux Musicales», a festival of water and music. The innumerable fountains and pools are set in such a way that one can think bubbles, sprays and cascades are not just water but fairy water dancing along the French-style park to the accompaniment of Baroque melodies. The charming music was thoroughly chosen by famous composer and musician Herve Niquet and the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles so it perfectly matches the dance of water.
Come and see what happens when music and water unite!
