Hotel reviews

27 September 2009 by Andras Had a very good internet deal, booked in at 2300hr, no problem with this. The room was large, clean and comfortable, the staff were all very polite and helpful, bag storage on the last day available as we had an evening flight home. A little way from the centre but easily accessed by 1 tram ride or a walk through the park. Would stay again if the price was right.

07 September 2009 by Stella My boyfriend and I booked this hotel in spring. The hotel is marvelous and situated in the city centre. You can easily get to the tram station and find yourself in any part of Paris. The weather was very warm and we enjoyed walking. Our room was spacy and very comfortable. Liked this hotel very much and would certainly stay here again.

21 August 2009 by Cornelia Very often we travel to Paris on business and we usually stay at hotel Lutetia. The location of the hotel is perfect, because it is situated in the center of everything - there are a lot of shops, department stores, restaurants, bars, clubs and business centers around the hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and the staff is polite and friendly. I would recommend this hotel my relatives and friends.

16 August 2009 by Jean The first time I stayed at this hoter was 12 month ago. This time it was renovated and changed a little bit. For example, a new reception place and some rooms were added to the old building. They are full of modern devices - color TV and air-conditioner. The staff at the reception and room service is very polite, friendly and helpful. I liked this hotel and would visit it in March!

01 August 2009 by Boris The tourist information board booked a room for us in this hotel as we were very unhappy with the hotel we were supposed to be staying in. The area is really nice. The hotel was happy to hold our bags as our room wasn't ready. (we were too early) There was a fully stocked mini bar, separate toilet to en suite bathroom. The hotel was clean and bright. Getting to and from the hotel really easy using tram 2. Would try to get a deal on the price as it is a little pricy.

28 July 2009 by Christos It was a last minute booking. I was going to Paris for a weekend and urgently needed to reserve the hotel. On the website I found Hotel Lutetia and decided to book a room there. To my pleasant surprise, the hotel exceeded all my expectations. I stayed in an exclusive room with fantastic view on Eiffel Tower. The room featured rich furnishings and classic interiors. I loved seafood served in Lutetia Brasserie that was so delicious.

04 July 2009 by Johann My company booked few rooms for our foreign partners from Germany. They are so demanding, however were very satisfied with the accommodation in Lutetia hotel in common. After the contract was signed, we celebrated this event in the hotel bar. Our guests promised to visit Paris next time not for business, but for leisure.

The room had a small lovely terrace, overlooking the city. The bathroom was spacious. Right opposite the hotel there is located Parisian subway, that is very convenient.

Hotel Lutetia Became A Historical Monument
In January, 2006 the Lutetia hotel was included in the list of historical monuments. The building of the hotel was erected in 1910 by the two most prominent architects of the epoch. The hotel was the first one made in the Art Deco style. Its stained-glass windows, huge staircases, cosy yards, moulding, frescos and the exclusive interior, consisting of original works of art, make the hotel one of its kind.
The grand façade is the creation of the sculptors Leon Binet and Paul Belmondo (the father of the famous actor Jean-Paul Belmondo).
However, the splendid interior and exterior are not the only reason for choosing this hotel. Lutetia is also preferred by many guests due to the fact that at different time it received such VIPs like Andre Gide, Antoine de Saint-Exupery, Picasso and Charles de Gaulle.
There are 231 rooms in the hotel, many of which have a view of the Eiffel Tower.

Prix Culinaire Pierre Taittinger
On December 5th the Hotel Lutetia is housing "Prix Culinaire Pierre Taittinger", an event organized to define the new ambassador of French cuisine. The award was established by Claude Taittinger to pay homage to his father who was a member of Academie des Gastronomes.
Eight renowned chefs from Europe will have five hours to create masterpieces of cuisine francaise. It's a rare occasion that a non-French Chef gained a victory, but nevertheless the contest is a wonderful chance for the cuisine magicians to show the best they can.
   The event is invitation-only.
